AMAZE; A McGill A to Z Experience

The recording of the creation of this unique book is now available:

In 2020, the McGill Library put together a truly remarkable book – AMAZE; a McGill A-Z Experience. With visual treats and moveable surprises at the turn of every page, AMAZE will inspire interactive moments of wonder with McGill's extraordinary collections. Brilliant paper engineers from Papersmyths breathed life into 26 alphabetical wonders from the library collections. Artworks, graphics, books, and manuscripts leap from the page in this moveable, interactive book. The book showcases a playful way of engaging with the collections – making them accessible to all. Whether you open the book for the wonder of the pop-up printing press or the details of an ancient anatomy text, this adult-oriented alphabet book will take you on a journey from A to Z with some delightful surprises along the way. The book is now available for sale online at McGill's Le James Bookstore.

Then the pandemic hit, shuttering us all in even more. She speaks with Piya Chattopadhyay about her uncannily well-timed book, "The Great Indoors: The Surprising Science of How Buildings Shape Our Behavior, Health, and Happiness".
