Heritage Montreal - As Montreal marks the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Olympic Games, this conversation looks back at the lasting impact of a defining moment in the city’s history. Beyond the athletic achievements, how did the Games reshape Montreal’s urban landscape, its identity and the ways its now-iconic sites are used? What physical and symbolic traces remain today? And what lessons can Montreal’s experience, along with that of other Olympic host cities, offer as we consider the future of these sites in a rapidly changing urban environment?

Food - Nikola Tesla's Weird Eating Habits.

More on Tesla:

Nikola Tesla's "purple-colored metal sheets" or "purple energy plates" are New Age wellness products based on the premise that aluminum plates can be altered to resonate with the "life force" energy of the universe, often citing Tesla's work on energy and vibration. While inspired by Tesla's theories, these items were primarily developed and popularized by Ralph Bergstresser, an associate of Tesla.

What Are Purple Energy Plates?

  • Material: They are made of aluminum that has been anodized and dyed purple.

  • Purpose: They are used to create a positive energy field, reduce electromagnetic (EMF) stress, and increase the vibration of living organisms (plants, pets, humans).

  • Mechanism: Proponents claim the plates act as antennae, taking in energy from the Schumann field (between the ionosphere and Earth's surface) and transmitting it to the human aura, theoretically assisting in the body's self-healing.
