For this last episode of the In Concert Hall of Fame for 2023, Paolo honours Canada’s first lady of jazz: Eleanor Collins. Eleanor Collins is remarkable, both as a musician and as a person. In November, she celebrated her 104th birthday. Not long ago, Canada Post dedicated a stamp to Eleanor. And she’s a member of the Order of Canada. And yet, relatively few Canadians know about Eleanor and even fewer people have heard her amazing recordings. Get to know all about the remarkable Eleanor Collins on the In Concert Hall of Fame.

The Immersive Festival of Scandinavian / Nordic Kultur and Art – FIKA(S), is back from March 9 to 15 for its 5th edition.

Papyrus: Exploring the Invention of the Book. The book may well be the greatest invention since the wheel, according to author Irene Vallejo. She traces the history of this miraculous invention with a book of her own, Papyrus: The Invention of Books in the Ancient World.
In her book, Papyrus, philologist Irene Vallejo suggests that books are among the most influential inventions of all time.
