The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec is showing a collection of sun-filled Impressionist paintings by Montreal artist Helen McNicoll. The new exhibition in Quebec City is the first retrospective in the province in almost a century. McNicoll scholar Julie Nash speaks with guest host Dionne Codrington.

 

 

The Helen McNicoll. An Impressionist Journey exhibition is the first Québec retrospective in a century of the Canadian impressionist painter’s work. The Twist Festival returns for its 12th edition in Saint-André-Avellin. The Twist Festival — devoted to textiles and the making of textiles, returns to the Outaouais region. Founder Amélie Blanchard shares what they’ve stitched together from loom weaving to broom making. She speaks with guest host Dionne Codrington.
