Diana would be delighted if you would attend the virtual gala - Taste Canada Awards Virtual Ceremony this Sunday, October 25, 2020, 7:30 to 8 pm as the winners are announced.
Diana’s Lexqiue is shortlisted in the French language category “Narrations culinaires”. Diana says, “As far as I can tell, no dictionary in either English or French has been awarded in the previous 22 years of awards, but then again, none may have been entered either”. How COVID-19 and comfort food have brought us back to community cookbooks.
The trend of so-called community cookbooks — self-published recipe collections, historically put together by women's church and school groups — goes back more than a century. They were a way of connecting community members with one another, for sharing a love of food, and for fundraising.
