Arts and culture news:

Look up at the clouds! You just might find the 2026 Pantone colour of the year!

The Pantone Color of the Year 2026, PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer, is a key structural color whose versatility provides scaffolding for the color spectrum, allowing all colors to shine. In a world where color has become synonymous with personal expression, this is a shade that can adapt, harmonize, and create contrast, bringing a feeling of airy lightness to all product applications and environments, whether making a standalone statement or combined with other hues.

Frank Gehry passes at the age of 96, but his iconic buildings will last a very long time.

Frank Gehry is making a splashy return to the city where he was born, 93 years ago. His new condo tower project is set to make an indelible mark on Toronto's skyline. The pair of residential buildings reflects his love for the city and an expression of Canadian identity because, as Gehry tells Chattopadhyay... art, community value, and the greater global picture are inexplicably intertwined in building design as a conversation forever in progress.

Toronto-born architect Frank Gehry has died at 96. A rebel in his field, Gehry created sensual, sculptural buildings which rejected the cold minimalism and glass boxes of Modernism, and the ornate flourishes of Postmodernism. Gehry became famous in his late 60s, with his design for the now-iconic Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. A complex and engaging man, who never hid his disdain for the media and his press-given nickname "star'chitect," Gehry granted IDEAS producer Mary Lynk a rare opportunity in 2017 to spend a couple of days interviewing him at his studio in Los Angeles. This episode is the first of a two-part series and delves into Gehry's infusion of humanity and emotions into his designs. It originally aired on Oct. 6, 2017.

Part 2 - Architecture is art — without it ‘you're giving up’: rebel architect Frank Gehry. 'I think everybody is capable of creativity, if they're curious,' Gehry told IDEAS.
