Maryse Lemay (Yseultliris) is a multidisciplinary artist who started painting in 2012. After more than twenty years in the performing arts as an actor, singer and dancer, painting naturally appeared in her life. She has been painting full time since 2022. Her abstract paintings are an extension of who she is as a multidisciplinary artist. Like in music and dance, she approaches the practice with an immense thirst for freedom and authenticity.Her objective is to trust her intuition and the creative process. Through the application of multiple layers of paint, lines, marks, gestures, colours and textures, her ultimate goal is to create emotional landscapes that connect and resonate with the viewer’s own internal universe.
