Suzan, a multidisciplinary artist from the West Island of Montreal, holds a Bachelor's Degree in media arts from Ryerson University in Toronto. Her studies in photography, film, and design laid the foundation for her creative journey, which began with a long career as a graphic designer for La Société Radio-Canada (CBC) in Montreal.
For the last decade, Suzan's personal artistic expression has centered on sculpture, a passion she inherited from her mother, whose artworks filled their family home. Suzan finds pure bliss creating art that fully expresses her personality. Figurative in style, her work celebrates the human experience and invites viewers to explore beyond the self.
Recently, she has expanded her practice to include new materials such as bronze and glass. The three-dimensional nature of sculpture offers a unique sensory experience, as its form is not only visible in the dark but also invites a tactile connection.
In recent years, Suzan's sculptural work has been recognized by peer juries, earning her awards in regional exhibitions and competitions.
