WOMEN'S ART SOCIETY of MONTREAL

Madeleine Chevalier is a contemporary artist born in Montreal . She works intuitively with mixed media, oils and acrylics allowing her intuition and unconscious mind to translate emotions into visual forms on canvas or wood surfaces.

 She is fascinated by people and the human spirit, their source of pain and joy.. 

 

She has been influenced by such artists as Tracey Emin, Marlene Dumas and Louise Bourgeois, who are also interested in the complexities of the human condition. She completed her BFA at the Emily Carr Institute of art and design in Vancouver.
