I was born and grew up in Bucharest, Romania, and for many years I was an art lover of the
many forms of art. The practicality of life dictated my creative path towards another road, that of
data, numbers, and logical thinking, with a master in Automation and Control Systems. In 1992 I
moved with my husband and our two children to Canada, where I had a career as an IT
professional.
Still in my heart I was an artist, finding ways to immerse myself in art whenever possible; art
museums, exhibitions and art galleries were always on the map whenever I travelled abroad.
Starting with 2014, I could allocate time to my passion. Through painting and drawing sessions
with renowned artists, at the Cummings Centre and École des Beaux-arts de Montreal –
EBAMA, workshops and exhibitions, I thrived to develop my artistic practice and voice.
I mainly use acrylics and mixed media in my art, and my paintings develop with rich textures by
working in multiple layers, each layer bringing a new emotion to the story of the painting. I move
easily between abstract and impressionist styles, painting from my imagination, guided by my
emotions, inspired by nature or daily life.
