Christiane Kingsley

image0.jpeg

Christiane Kingsley is an award winning fine arts painter  based in Ottawa. She feels this artistic activity was written in her DNA since, on her mother’s side, she can trace professional/gifted amateur painters back at least four generations! Christiane is currently focusing on painting  detailed oil florals and her goal for the next few years is to become the best floral painter she can be. Her work wants to evoke feelings of joy and serenity.  Follow her on Instagram to see examples of her process and her works in progress.

Christiane has been very involved in the Ottawa arts community for more almost 15 years and has served on the board of several local art associations. From 2010 to January 2025, she was a permanent juried member of the artist-run Foyer Gallery in Ottawa.

Christiane is an explorer at heart and a life-long learner. For example, two years ago, she took a seven-week online course on the oil painting techniques used by 17th century Dutch masters. She incorporates in her work what she learns, but adapts those techniques to create her own style.

Christiane’s work can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, USA, Australia, Europe and Great Britain.
