Grisell Vargas, a Venezuelan-Canadian artist based in Montreal, develops a practice situated at the intersection of neuroscience and visual creation. Her work explores bodily memories, emotions, and the inner landscapes that shape the human experience. She creates works that invite contemplation and connection. Her approach, imbued with both fragility and strength, manifests itself through painting and sculpture: drops, wooden monoliths, and hearts that symbolize the flow of life, nature, and presence.

She has exhibited at international events such as the Carrousel du Louvre (Paris, 2026), Renacer at White’s Art Gallery (Miami, 2026), the Women’s Art Society of Montreal (2025–2026), Red Dot Miami (2025), AIRE: Digital Dimension (Madrid, 2025), the International Contemporary Art Fair (Monaco, 2025), Éthéré at the Van Gogh Gallery (Madrid, 2025), and Vision Art Fair (Marbella, 2024).

Her work has been published in ArtistCloseUp Magazine (#18, #30), Contemporary Art Curator Magazine, and Copyright Alliance’s Creator Spotlight (2024, 2026).

In 2026, she led a creativity workshop for LatinArte Montréal and she is the founder of an artistic creativity group for chronic pain patients, active since 2010 at the CHUM, thus integrating art, science and community engagement.
