Exhibits, events, and just the news

M.C. Escher – Exposition - Immerse yourself in the visionary universe of M.C. Escher, where logic meets dream and mathematics embraces paradox. At the MMFA:

Sweet Speech, which is Keerat Kaur’s first solo exhibition in a Canadian fine arts museum, centres on the artist’s voice. She articulates her intentions and visual language through her works, gallery texts and poetry written in her words. Even the music in the gallery is hers, creating a multisensory experience beyond the purely visual.

Keerat Kaur’s exhibition at the MMFA explores the mythical side of Sikhism. The origin story of the pomegranate, mermaids, and other myths may not be things we associate with the Sikh religion, but a new exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts shows another side of Sikhism. The Sikh Art Gallery hosts a solo exhibition, titled “When Speech Becomes Gentle” by Keerat Kaur. We speak with the multidisciplinary artist about her work.

Steak Canadian anyone? Most Canadians have never heard of this allegedly Canadian viral sandwich. You will have to visit Counter Kitchen in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England, to taste this simple, but really delicious sandwich.

This one is made in Canada! FireHouse Chef Patrick’s steak sandwich will leave you feeling like you can fight a 3-alarm fire, but we suggest leaving it to the professionals and just sticking to the sandwich.
